El Cajon – Today, U.S. Congressman Duncan Hunter announced that a community job fair has been scheduled for February 25, 2011, from 9 AM to Noon, at Cuyamaca College Student Center in El Cajon. There is no fee to attend and parking is free.
“With unemployment in San Diego still exceeding 10 percent, it’s important that we do all we can to help those who are unemployed get back to work,” said Congressman Hunter. “Job fairs are valuable for the purpose of bringing together local job seekers and area businesses with available opportunities. A good number of local residents have benefited from previous job fairs, not just in terms of obtaining work or following a new career path, but also through receiving quality and useful information from employers and counselors. I’m greatly looking forward to the next job fair and encourage anyone looking for a job to come out and meet any of the businesses on hand.”
Nearly 50 local and regional businesses are scheduled to attend. Any business interested in taking part in the event is encouraged to contact Congressman Hunter’s El Cajon office at 619-448-5201.
