Washington DC - Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution offered by Congressman Duncan Hunter to honor the service and sacrifice of Border Patrol Agent Robert Rosas.  Agent Rosas was killed by gunfire last week in an area of the U.S.-Mexico border that is notorious for drug and human smuggling.

"By passing this resolution in honor of Agent Rosas, the House reaffirmed its support for the men and women of the Border Patrol and their direct efforts to preserve and protect our nation's borders," said Congressman Hunter.  "Agent Rosas was a proud and well-respected member of the Border Patrol, working alongside his fellow officers to protect our communities against the violence and lawlessness that is consuming the Southwest border region.  His service and sacrifice will not be forgotten.

"Our condolences and prayers are with the Rosas family during this difficult time."

The resolution, H.Res.681, passed the House of Representatives today by unanimous consent.  A copy of the resolution is available  here .
